Christmas pictures!

We took Christmas pictures a couple weeks ago and most of them turned out pretty good! It was definitely harder with another child - I suppose it will keep getting more difficult with each addition to the family. More people to all try to get to look good at the same time!

The girls slept in curlers the night before. They have only done this a handful of times. It is very time consuming for me but they don't mind it too much. They call them "little pink pillows". But sometimes one falls out in the night and so we are left with a long straight strand of hair amidst the short curls!

Ella with such a sweet smile!  I had to stop the photographer and fix their bows on the presents. They looked awful - like the silver one in the background! Should have fixed that one too! Another problem with the curls is that have some fuzziness.... I guess I need more practice putting them in.

Emma was pretty excited to get to hold a present! This was obviously taken before I stepped in to fix the ribbons on the gifts.

Drew would NOT smile at the photographer. I had to stand beside/behind her and make funny faces at him or pretend to sneeze. So he isn't looking at the camera in any of his smiling pictures. :)

Wanted to try one with Daddy and his girls... Emma is such a ham!

So we had to get Mom with darling little Drew!

Merry Christmas!

fall leaves

we made a really big pile of leaves this past weekend at my parents' house in kansas.

it took a little while for the girls to warm up to the idea of jumping in, but then they played for hours! and it only took a couple days to get all the leaves out of their hair :)

my little brother matthew, ella, emma, and my niece kylee.
matthew and kylee were doing all sorts of flips and back handsprings into the leaves!

mom and the girls. dad was inside studying for exams.

drew did NOT like the leaves. he sat on the side with grandad and watched the kitties play.

family info

my little family
impossible to get everyone to smile at the same time! the girls were not in the mood to take pictures

emma and ella turned 3 in august and are so smart and funny! they love to recite the things they know.... how old they are, when their birthday is, their address, etc. they love to play with playdoh, swing, watch movies, paint, and dance. they keep me busy and laughing. they also are good big sisters and like to help with drew.

drew is 5 months old and almost sitting up although he doesn't roll over! actually he rolled over twice yesterday - he was mad and didn't want to lay on his tummy any more! he is a very happy baby and smiles at everyone. not the best sleeper yet, but i'm not ready to sleep train - i like to spoil him. one baby has been so much easier than the first 2....

kelsey started medial school this august and is very busy studying all the time! i just keep reminding myself that it will eventually be worth all this school - we really aren't even halfway done!
