Playing in the snow! We had been hoping for a good snow storm. We missed the huge blizzard over Christmas break because we were in Washington.
I love this picture of Drew. Such a sweet little boy! He didn't enjoy the snow though. All this bundling up for about 5 minutes of outside fun. But at least we got a great picture!
Sledding down the driveway! This awful steep driveway is good for one thing!
We don't have sleds - and apparently after shopping at about 6 stores, not many places in Oklahoma carry them! So we improvised. We tried trash can lids, but these were not slick enough. Then we got our large rubbermaid container lids - worked pretty well! They are clear, so you can't see that Ella is sitting on it.
Our front door and sidewalk - Kels had just shoveled it, but the snow just kept coming!
Emma insisted that she could eat this icicle :)
Ella opted for a single but much longer icicle.
Working on a snowman....
This was another day - the snow wouldn't stick together for the first few days.
This day was also much warmer!
Drew did NOT want to sit in the snow.
Done! It was melting fast! You can see the yucky ugly mud under the snow. We used a carrot for the nose and rocks the girls found in the street for the eyes and buttons. Then some little branches off a dead plant for arms. The girls were very proud and almost cried when he melted a few days later!
Warming up after playing outside in the snow.
Another day, practicing their winter apparel
Emma absolutely loves this princess dress. It is an unusual day when she doesn't put it on several times! She doesn't like to wear it when she has to go to the bathroom, so she takes it off, then puts it back on when she is done! I guess she is worried that she will let it fall in the toilet. :) Cute girls!
